In a press release issued Monday, police said 26-year-old Kathleen Bacon from Bradford was charged with accessories following the June 9 murder. Ferrall was reported missing in February. On May 13, police announced that a body found in Brad County earlier that month had been identified as Ferral, turning the missing man’s case into a homicide investigation.

COURT DOCUMENTS REVEALED NEW INFORMATION

Court documents obtained by CTV News on Monday claim that Bacon knew who killed Ferral and helped the killer escape sometime between February 20 and 23. The documents mention Nieko Bodine as the alleged killer. A man of the same name and age as Bodine died earlier this year. The mourner said that he died suddenly before someone had a change to say goodbye. Bacon will make her first appearance in court on Tuesday, June 14. In a press release, Bradford police said they “continue to ensure that Ferral’s family receives the support they need during this difficult time.” Police said they would not provide more information at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
