The Oscar-winning actor has been charged in connection with allegations of assault against him by three men. The 62-year-old also faces an additional charge of inciting a person to penetrative sexual activity without consent. The alleged offenses took place in London and Gloucestershire between 2005 and 2013. Met Police listed the charges as follows: • Two counts of sexually assaulting a man, now in his 40s, in March 2005 in London. • Sexually assaulting a man, now in his 30s, in August 2008 in London, forcing him to engage in penetrating sexual activity without his consent. • Sexually assaulting a man, now in his 30s, in April 2013 in Gloucestershire. Spacey is now expected to appear in Westminister Court at 10 a.m. Thursday. Earlier, the former Hollywood star had stated that he would travel to the United Kingdom to face the accusations, which he is expected to deny. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) upheld the charges against him last month, but Spacey could only be formally charged after visiting the United Kingdom. Police have confirmed that he has now arrived in the country. In a statement released to Good Morning America at the time of the CPS announcement, Spacey said: “I really appreciate the statement from the Crown Prosecution Service in which the media and the public were carefully reminded that I was entitled to a fair trial and that I was innocent. until proven otherwise. “Although I’m disappointed with their decision to move forward, I will be appearing voluntarily in the UK as soon as possible and defending myself against these allegations, which I’m sure will prove my innocence.”
