A man from New York who was arrested at the weekend for stabbing two people did so just a day after he was arrested by police and then released for waving a knife, according to a report. Donny Ubiera, 32, who was arrested on Saturday after allegedly stabbing two people – one on Friday and one on Saturday – was jailed for showing a large knife to police and then released on Thursday, the New York Post reported. Donny Umbiera is wanted in connection with two separate cuts that occurred in the New York subway on Friday and Saturday morning, authorities said. (NYPD CrimeStoppers) Ubiera’s criminal spree reportedly lasted four days, culminating in his arrest on Saturday night. NYC MAN WANTED FOR UNCONTROLLED CONSTRUCTION IN THE METRO, SAYS POLICE On Wednesday, police responded to calls from a man with a knife and found Ubiera refusing to lay down his weapon, the New York Post reported. According to the report, the man escaped from the police, but was arrested, arrested and charged with criminal possession of a firearm and controlled substance, as well as reckless danger. Umbiera spent the night in jail and was allowed to walk on Thursday for the “time he served,” the newspaper reported. Ubiera allegedly pulled out a large knife, approached a 55-year-old man and stabbed him in the neck, the NYPD reported. He was arrested again, 12 hours after the incident with a knife on Saturday. He was charged with two counts of attempted murder, assault and possession of a weapon in a subway attack, police said. Both victims were treated at NYC Health and Hospitals / Elmhurst and are expected to recover.
