Northumbria police officers arrived at the scene on Lesbury Street, Lemington after a report at 4:15 p.m.  on Saturday (June 11).  Upon arrival, a woman was found dead at the address. 

An investigation was launched after the woman’s body was located. A Northumbria police spokesman said: “At 4.15 p.m. on Saturday (June 11) we received a report of concern for a woman’s well-being at an address on Lesbury Street in Lemington. “Emergency services arrived and found a woman dead inside.” They also confirmed that the death is being treated as non-suspect and will now be reported to the medical examiner. They added: “Then an investigation was launched into her death and the police are currently treating him as a non-suspect. A report will be made about the medical examiner “. Read below:
