Williams, 48, began his career as a member of the boy band Take That, but left the band in the summer of 1995 to pursue a solo career. As a soloist, he has recorded the number 13 album in the United Kingdom, making him one of the most acclaimed artists in the world. His eight-stop tour in October will include performances in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin. It will come a month after the release of his XXV album on September 9th. XXV includes new songs and re-recorded versions of his biggest hits, such as Let Me Entertain You, Rock DJ and Millennium. It also includes the latest version of Angels’s 1997 ballad, which he performed at halftime at Soccer Aid in London on Sunday. Speaking about the new album, Williams said: “Each track has a special place in my heart, so it was a real thrill to record it again with the Metropole Orkest.”
