Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene after the collision at 7.30am. The road is still closed as conflict investigators examine the scene. “We witnessed a serious collision at 7.30am this morning on the A419 near Blunsdon,” a police spokesman said. “His closest relatives have been informed and our thoughts are with his family and friends. “The driver of a van involved in the incident was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and suspected of driving drugs. “The A419 southbound road is currently closed between Cricklade and the Blunsdon junction to allow collision investigators to look into the scene.” Police are now calling for witnesses or anyone with a dashboard video to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team at 01225 694597 citing registration number 95 today (12/06)
