Sharing the video on Twitter, cultural commentator Carina White said: “Hey Met Police, I’re just wondering if this is a reasonable and appropriate use of force to apprehend a 16-year-old. Kicks and punches? in Abbey Wood. “ Met said it knew of the video, but said it only showed part of the incident. “This will be evaluated, along with the video of the officers’ body, by officers from the Professional Standards Directorate. Their search led to an address in the area where police said they found property reportedly stolen during the robbery.
