In the new trailer that is being shown today and at the first proper look at Team Cherry’s insect Metroidvania that we have from 2019, with fast-fire shots of the main character, Hornet, fighting Hollow Knight’s known insect enemies, jumping around lava and many other. Hollow Knight Silksong – Xbox & Bethesda 2022 Game Exhibition Hollow Knight: Silksong was unexpectedly announced for the first time in February 2019 as the sequel to Hollow Knight, a recognized indie Metroidvania set in a realm of sentient bugs. Silksong follows the character of Hornet, an enemy who became an ally from the original game, who is captured at the opening of the game and moves far away from the realm in which the Hollow Knight plays. We tried the game again at E3 2019 and found that it was “unquestionably Hollow Knight, but with a speed raised to 11”. We called the original Hollow Knight “amazing” in our review 9.4 / 10. The announcement was part of the Xbox + Bethesda Showcase, which includes a closer look at Redfall and more. Kat Bailey is IGN Senior News Editor and co-host of Nintendo Voice Chat.
