One man who will not get involved is Prime Minister Boris Johnson – probably for the best given his tackle history. One of Mr. Johnson’s most famous examples is his tackle with a Japanese student while playing rugby in 2015. Toki Sekiguchi, a Tokyo student, was hit on the ground. Mr. Johnson went to Toki and asked him if he was OK, before shaking his hand and saying, “I’m very sorry.” After the game, the boy said, “I felt a little pain, but it’s okay.” He added that the meeting with Johnson was “enjoyable”. Mr Johnson joked about the incident later during a speech at the British and American Chambers of Commerce, describing the benefits of hosting sporting events. He said: “We just played a game of street rugby with a bunch of kids and I accidentally leveled a 10 year old, unfortunately on TV. “But, he bounced, he put it behind him, the smile quickly returned to his face. Gaudino concluded: “He apologized many times, even later in the locker room.” Mr Johnson once said he supported “every team in London” when asked about his beliefs. He also claimed that his children support Newcastle.
