Dr. Charlotte Norton, Medical Director at the Weight Loss Clinic, has previously spoken to Express.co.uk about Beatrice’s weight loss. He said: “I’m sure there were many factors that contributed to Princess Beatrice’s impressive weight loss after the baby. “One of the things that helps a lot in weight loss is breastfeeding. “While the amount of weight that can be lost through breastfeeding varies from person to person, usually one person could look at burning between 500 and 700 calories a day.” READ MORE: Woman lost an incredible 16 stones after “she was treated like an animal” Dr Norton went on to say that Beatrice may have eaten plenty of protein, adding: “In addition, storing healthy proteins such as lean meat, eggs and dairy would boost metabolism and reduce appetite, which would help weight loss. “Combining a healthy and nutritious diet with exercise would also have contributed to her weight loss, but that would of course depend on the health care advice provided after pregnancy. “Finally, adequate water intake helps remove toxins from the body and boosts metabolism. “Drinking one or two glasses of hot water in the morning can help with weight loss and reduce belly fat.” Drinking enough water during the day can again reduce and prevent hunger and staying hydrated can increase feelings of fullness. Exercise goes hand in hand with diet and it has been revealed in the past that Beatrice is a fan of exercise. Prior to her pregnancy, the princess worked with personal trainer Nadya Fairweather, who told People magazine at the time: “She wanted to boost her stamina and just make exercise a part of her life. “We train regardless of the weather and it never cancels – it ‘s pretty tough.” Nadya added: “She likes boxing and TRX where you use your body weight as a workout which is quite difficult.” Dr. Norton also mentioned how Beatrice would probably have started exercising again after giving birth. He said: “I imagine that if Princess Beatrice’s birth was healthy, then she would have done some cardiovascular and resistance training to help her lose weight.” Basil has been photographed running around London in the past and even competed in the Windsor Half Marathon in 2010.
